1. Introduction

Welcome to JDM Radar ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JDM Radar, governing your access to and use of our website and newsletter service (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

2. Description of Service

JDM Radar is a paid newsletter service that provides subscribers with curated listings of used vehicles for sale in Japan. The information is gathered from publicly available third-party websites and processed for your convenience. The Service is informational only.

We are not a car dealership, broker, agent, or seller. We do not own, inspect, appraise, or have any involvement in the sale of the vehicles listed. We do not guarantee the availability, condition, or accuracy of any vehicle listing. Any transaction you enter into with a third-party seller is solely between you and that seller.

What We Do

• We find interesting Japanese used cars on public websites and send you a curated list in a weekly email newsletter.
• We are not a car dealer. We don't sell cars, inspect them, or have anything to do with the actual sale. We just point you to the original listings.
• Think of us as a scout, not a salesman.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address, your full name, and a password. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Each person may maintain only one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Your Account

• You need an account to use the service. Sign up with your real email and full name.
• Keep your password secret — you're responsible for anything that happens through your account.
• One account per person, please.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

The Service is offered on a paid subscription basis with the following plans:

• Monthly Plan: $12 USD per month, billed monthly.
• Yearly Plan: $99 USD per year, billed annually.

All prices are in US Dollars (USD). Where applicable, approximate Japanese Yen (JPY) reference rates are displayed for convenience and are not binding.

Subscriptions are recurring and will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Subscription

• Two plans: $12/month or $99/year (save ~31%).
• Prices are in USD. We show JPY estimates for reference, but USD is what you'll be charged.
• Your subscription renews automatically — Stripe handles the payments securely.
• If we ever change prices, we'll give you 30 days' notice.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing page in your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• Your access to the Service will continue until the end of your current billing period.
• You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

As a goodwill policy, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. If you are not satisfied with the Service within 7 days of your initial subscription, contact us at support@jdm-radar.com to request a full refund. This policy applies to first-time subscriptions only and is offered at our discretion.

After the 7-day period, no refunds will be issued.

Cancellation & Refunds

• You can cancel anytime from your account settings.
• After cancelling, you keep access until the end of your paid period. No further charges.
• Not happy? 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. Just email support@jdm-radar.com within 7 days of signing up.
• After 7 days, we don't offer refunds for partial periods.

6. Email Preferences and Unsubscribe

Each newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. Clicking this link will stop the delivery of newsletter emails to your address. Please note that unsubscribing from newsletter emails:

• Does NOT cancel your subscription. Your subscription remains active, and you will continue to be billed according to your plan.
• Does NOT remove your site access. You retain access to the newsletter archive, car listings, and all subscriber features on the website.

Email delivery and subscription billing are two independent controls. To stop being billed, you must cancel your subscription through your account's billing page. To stop receiving emails, use the unsubscribe link or toggle the email preference in your account settings. You may also re-enable newsletter emails at any time from your account settings.

Emails vs. Subscription

This is important:

• Clicking "unsubscribe" in an email only stops the emails. It does not cancel your subscription or stop billing.
• To cancel billing, go to your account's billing page.
• These are two separate things: one controls emails, the other controls your paid subscription.
• You can turn newsletter emails back on anytime from your account settings.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access or collect data from the Service.
• Redistribute, republish, or share newsletter content or car listing data with third parties, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
• Share your login credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or connected systems.

The Rules

• Don't scrape our site with bots or scripts.
• Don't share or redistribute our newsletter content.
• Don't share your login — your account is for you only.
• Don't do anything illegal or try to break our site.
• Basically: be a good person.

8. Intellectual Property

All content created by JDM Radar, including but not limited to website design, newsletter layout, editorial commentary, translations, and curated selections, is the property of JDM Radar and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use license to access and view the Service content. This license does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the content.

Vehicle listing data, images, and descriptions originate from third-party source websites and remain the property of their respective owners.

Who Owns What

• Our content (design, newsletter, editorial) belongs to us.
• Your subscription lets you view it for personal use — not copy or redistribute it.
• The car listing data and images belong to the original source websites (CarSensor, Goo-net, etc.).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any vehicle listing information provided through the Service. Vehicle listings are sourced from third-party websites and may contain errors, be outdated, or refer to vehicles that are no longer available.

We are not a party to any transaction between you and a vehicle seller. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of vehicles listed through the Service.

Important Disclaimers

• We try our best, but we can't guarantee that every listing is 100% accurate. Cars might have errors in the listing, be already sold, or not match the description.
• Always do your own research before buying anything.
• Any deal you make is strictly between you and the seller in Japan. We're not involved.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JDM Radar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any vehicle purchase or transaction based on information provided through the Service.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
• Any third-party conduct related to the Service.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the amount you have paid to JDM Radar in subscription fees during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Responsibility

• We're not responsible for decisions you make based on our listings. You are.
• If something goes wrong, the most we'd ever owe you is what you've paid us in the last 12 months.
• Use your common sense.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

Changes

• We might update these terms. If we do, we'll post the new version here.
• For big changes, we'll email you 30 days in advance.
• If you keep using the site after changes take effect, that means you accept them.
